Jason Muse is a licensed educator currently teaching in San Francisco and brings over 15 years of experience supporting students across multiple grade levels and subject areas. He works with families seeking more than homework help. His role is to identify where a student is getting stuck, build a clear plan, and provide consistent, high-level support that leads to real growth.

What makes his approach different is that he combines the instincts of a classroom teacher with the focus of a private coach. Jason does not believe in one-size-fits-all tutoring. He believes in targeted support, thoughtful diagnostics, and helping students build both skill and confidence over time.

Rates

Notes on rates: All tutoring sessions must be 1-3 hours. Consistent weekly clients are prioritized in scheduling. For premium, highly customized, or specialized work, as well as for In-Person request outside standard service radius, rates may vary depending on scope and distance.

Online Tutoring (per hour)

$125.00

Book 1-on-1 or paired group tutoring (2 maximum participants) online tutoring for students who need direct support in reading, writing, math, grammar, or general academic skill-building. Must have access to the internet. Sessions conducted via Zoom.

In-Person Tutoring (Per Hour)

$150.00

1-on-1 or group (2 maximum participants) in-person tutoring for students who need direct support in reading, writing, math, grammar, or general academic skill-building. Meeting location must be within my standard service radius (a 10 mile radius of the 94134 zip-code). Public libraries preferred.

In-Person Tutoring (Per Hour) - Extended Radius

$250.00

1-on-1 or group (2 maximum participants) in-person tutoring for students who need direct support in reading, writing, math, grammar, or general academic skill-building. Meeting location is outside my standard service radius (a 10 mile radius of the 94134 zip-code). Public libraries preferred.
